The first match in front of a new main stand at Windsor Park. Iorgulescu put through his own goal on 34, Hagi equalised on 36, Norman Whiteside restored the Irish lead on 61, Martin O’Neill made it 3-1 on 73, Geolgau pulled one back for Romania on 80.
