Pat Jennings, Pat Rice, Peter Scott, Allan Hunter, Chris Nicholl, Dave Clements, Bryan Hamilton, David McCreery, Tommy Cassidy (Jimmy Nicholl), Sammy McIlroy, Derek Spence (Sammy Morgan)

Leighton James, Britain’s most expensive player at the time, gave Wales a 1-0 victory over a poor Northern Ireland. The goal came after 24 minutes. The result left Wales 3rd in the final group standings with Northern Ireland bottom, without a point or a goal to their name.
